About Westwood
Inspired by Nature. Perfected in Georgia.
Founded in 2007 as the first domestic group to thermally modify wood in the United States, Westwood Millworks has led the evolution of this technology for nearly two decades. From our facility in Macon, Georgia, we design and build every part of our process — and remain the only producer in the country that owns and operates its own proprietary kiln technology.
Unlike imported or licensed systems, our in-house kilns are engineered for precision, consistency, and performance — delivering the rich color, stability, and longevity that define ThermA Siding™ and ThermA Decking™, as well as trim and other thermally modified products.
We source over 95% of our wood from U.S. forests, including Ash, Poplar, Southern Yellow Pine, Hemlock, and Cypress. Using only heat and steam — never chemicals — we transform these responsibly harvested species into durable, high-performance materials built to last in any environment.
All thermal modification, milling, profiling, and finishing are done under one roof. This fully domestic process ensures total quality control, faster lead times, and a smaller environmental footprint.
Westwood Millworks provides architects, builders, lumber dealers, and designers with a sustainable, American-made alternative to imported thermally modified wood, tropical hardwoods, pressure-treated lumber, and composite materials — offering the natural beauty of real wood with unmatched stability, durability, and longevity.
